Kinhin Tears – Notes from Practice 10/21/12

Thank you everyone who attended UZ last Sunday. It was a Great Practice Period*

The weather was so nice.. we had the window open, we could hear the birds enjoying the weather & the Meditation Hall was filled with many warm hearts* I end up crying a lot during Zen Retreats but never have I cried during kinhin (walking meditation). But last Sunday, for the 1st time at our Practice Group, I found myself in tears during Kinhin because I was filled with joy to be fulfilling this roll bestowed upon me of sharing this wonderful gift of zen practice with others. We are becoming a family here.. what a Sangha really should be & I’m truly grateful to be there for you all in this way. I hope with all my heart that I can continue to be of service in helping you in your efforts on this path we call; Zen Buddhism.

With this, I want to express gratitude for the countless who has come before me who have helped carry the teachings forward which we are now graced with this opportunity to realize the path of harmony. I’d especially like to thank Rev. Rinsin & Rev. Do’on Weik for their ceaseless help & support; not just in my life, but the life’s of so many!

2012, Right here in the Belly of the Beast – The Buddha Way is ALIVE & WELL! & so I bow down beyond measure. Vowing to all; As long as I breathe, this flame shall never parish.

May Underdog Zendo serve as a Great Medicine for the World. May all beings find contentment in their hearts & minds freed from affliction. May all beings enjoy their lives. May all beings awaken!
